Today, we are proud to share a significant announcement for our team — and an important opportunity for every airline operating Embraer E-Jets.
Embraer has signed an agreement with Expliseat under a Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) arrangement for E-Jets E1 and E2. That is an initial milestone toward introducing new economy seat options for those aircraft. – TiSeat 2X Lite and Prime.
This will enable airlines to select our ultra-lightweight seats directly as a factory linefit option. For operators, this means unlocking performance, economics, and passenger experience benefits from day one of aircraft delivery.

Immediate operational efficiency
With up to 30% weight reduction compared to conventional seats, TiSeat 2X helps airlines reduce fuel burn and CO₂ emissions across their E-Jets fleet. These gains are delivered linefit, with no retrofit downtime or integration complexity.
Lower lifecycle and maintenance costs
Our titanium–carbon composite structure — protected by over 100 patents — significantly reduces direct maintenance requirements while improving durability.
A modern, comfortable passenger experience
Passengers benefit from upgraded ergonomics customization such as adjustable headrests, dual USB charging, and PED holders — raising the standard for regional travel.
Already proven in commercial service
Since September, Air France HOP has operated TiSeat 2X Prime across its Embraer E190 fleet, including the Paris–Hamburg route. The seat solution, developed as an aftermarket service, has demonstrated outstanding robustness in daily high-utilization operations — and strong passenger feedback, especially on ergonomic comfort and charging features.
Manufactured in France — With Secured Capacity
All TiSeat 2X seats for Embraer programs will be produced in our state-of-the-art factory in Angers, France. At a time when many aerospace suppliers face su[ply-chain volatility, Expliseat’s secured industrial capacity and reliable delivery schedules give operators the assurance they need for fleet planning and program stability.
