The arrival marks an important step in QantasLink’s fleet renewal in Western Australia. The 100-seat aircraft is the first of up to 14 E190s planned to progressively replace its Fokker 100 fleet, supporting the airline’s resources charter operations.
Before entering service, each aircraft will undergo a cabin refresh, with Expliseat seating contributing to an upgraded onboard experience. The first E190 is expected to begin commercial operations in January 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
The refreshed cabins will offer passengers more spacious seating, with adjustable headrests, USB-A and USB-C charging, and personal device holders. Whether settling in before a shift or travelling home, passengers will have practical features designed around the way they travel.
The wider cabin upgrade also includes Wi-Fi, allowing passengers to stream content from the Qantas Entertainment App on their own devices. Qantas Economy Plus will offer additional legroom alongside priority boarding and priority access to overhead baggage space.
